CRIMSON PEAK (2015) REVIEW

 No matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get into this one. Del Toro seems to be such a hit or miss director for me and this is one of his misses.

THE GLIMMER MAN (1996) REVIEW

 I enjoy dumb films but this film is a dumb movie that thinks it's smart. Steven Seagal plays one of the most unconvincing street smart tough guys that's too cool for school I've ever seen and Keenan Wayans plays the token black guy that's only there to crack unfunny jokes that make you groan more than chuckle. Feels like it wants to be this big blockbuster but falls flat on its face. Would have gotten a lower score but again I'm a sucker for bad films.

BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD (2007) REVIEW

 Two brothers make a choice that destroy their lives and many others. The film builds up and up to a devastating conclusion. Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Ethan Hawke have fantastic chemistry. Definitely recommend it.

TAXIDERMIA (2006) REVIEW

 This film provokes you from the very beginning, its uncomfortable and at times downright grotesque, the goal of this film is to make you turn it off but the further i dove the more i couldn't look away. Under the filth there is a really unique story here, now this film is an experience and not a necessarily good one but its another film worth watching at least once.
