A MOST VIOLENT YEAR (2014) REVIEW

 

I was introduced to the work of Oscar Isaac when I saw this movie for the first time a few years ago. Upon rewatching it I found that even though Isaacs offers a great performance, this film is a very slow slog to sit through. It definitely won't be everybody's cup of tea and it wasn't mine but go see it and decide that for yourself.

DEAD MEN DON'T WEAR PLAID (1982) REVIEW

 A witty and charming love letter to the golden age of Hollywood. Carlos was my favorite supporting character, he was hilarious.

DVD HAUL! (28TH SEP)

I go hunting for films most weekends and this weekend was no exception! I went to various thrift stores and second hand shops and after all was said and done I walked away with 27 films. Some of these movies I have no idea about and some I have seen before and will watch again! 

IT CAME FROM THE BARGAIN BIN! (24TH SEP)

 Was shopping at my local grocery store the other day when I found a bargain of DVDs. I love a good bargain bin whenever I come across one as you can find all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff. I couldn't help myself and picked up 8 films that seemed interesting, I haven't heard of any of these films before so it'll be fun to give them a go. It turned into a nice little haul.

TMNT: MUTANT MAYHEM (2023) REVIEW

 Real fun time, looking forward to the sequel.
