CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD (2025) REVIEW

Reminds me of the early MCU films, nice to see the seeds they're planting for the future.

SMOKEY & THE BANDIT (1977) REVIEW

Not my kind of film but it did grow on me.

FLIGHT RISK (2025) REVIEW

A by the numbers film but it was a by the numbers film done really well. Much better than it perhaps should of been. Mark Wahlberg really is the highlight as he plays his role perfectly. Doesn't reinvent the wheel but is a fun time nonetheless.

THE GENTLEMEN (2019) REVIEW

A fun crime film with a great cast!

A COMPLETE UNKNOWN (2024) REVIEW

An entertaining biopic but I do think they glossed over a few events on the timeline. Worth watching at least once.

THE BIKERIDERS (2024) REVIEW

I didn't go to see this film when it was in theatres and I'm kicking myself that I didn't because I absolutely loved it. Definitely recommend it!

LORDS OF CHAOS (2018) REVIEW

I couldn't help but feel like as a Mayhem biopic they could have fleshed it out a little bit more, this film has a lot of gore and that's cool but my issue lies with the cast itself. Why not hire Norwegian actors to play Norwegian characters? Instead we are left with a very American cast that takes me out of the moment. This film was ok but could of been much better.

ULTRAMARINES: A WARHAMMER 40,000 MOVIE (2010) REVIEW

A Warhammer film that makes sense in theory more than execution. The animation is janky and I'm surprised they managed to get John Hurt and Terence Stamp to sign on. I feel like this had the potential to be huge and instead it was squandered. Maybe if you're a die hard 40k fan you might get some enjoyment but I can't recommend it otherwise.

KING OF THE LOST WORLD (2005) REVIEW

Clearly Asylum made this film to try and capitalise on Peter Jacksons King Kong, released in the same year. This movie is completely C tier at best, if you want to watch a bad CGI giant ape fight a swarm of bad CGI dragons then this is the film for you.

TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS (2023) REVIEW

Its a popcorn action flick, like with all transformers films. If you switch off your brain this movie is a fun time but it doesn't have much to offer besides that. You can tell that their was care put into making the film though and because of that is definitely one of the better films in the transformers franchise.

2.5 out of 5 STARS.

A GHOST STORY (2017) REVIEW

An emotional film about grief and feeling like the world is moving on without you. Such a well told story with very little dialogue, this film is not for everyone and you'll either get it or you won't BUT if you do, you're in for a eye opening/beautiful time.

4 out of 5 STARS.

UPGRADE (2018) REVIEW

This film is what happens if Sony's Venom franchise and I Robot had a baby and that baby turned out to be a body horror/action revenge film. Well worth the hour and half of your time.

THE GINGERDEAD MAN (2005) REVIEW

Full Moons answer to the Childs Play franchise, this film is dumb cheesy fun. Gary Buseys performance as the titular character is what truly makes the film a cult classic.

3 out of 5 STARS.

COMPANION (2025) REVIEW

It was ok BUT I feel like I've seen better android becomes sentient/revenge films before.

2.5 out of 5 STARS.

MEMOIR OF A SNAIL (2024) REVIEW

A profoundly meaningful film packed full of emotions and life lessons, left me in tears towards the end. Absolutely loved it, this film is proof that animation is not just a genre for children but is also a serious genre for the older audience as well. This film from Oscar winning filmmaker Adam Elliot is a masterclass that you cannot miss out on.

5 STARS.

THE TOXIC AVENGER (1984) REVIEW

A pure master-class in 80s schlock! Buckets of gore, the hammiest of acting and a story that is completely over the top, what more do you ...
