127 HOURS (2010) REVIEW

Wow, this movie was truly UNCOMFORTABLE to watch! This film is the only one that has ever made me psychically wince multiple times. It is all worth it for the final 25 minutes of the film which blew me away and gave me chills up and down my spine. Hats off to Danny Boyle and James Franco, definitely a must watch if you haven't seen it already.

DEATH PROOF (2007) REVIEW

By far this is Quentin Tarantino's worst film.

CHEF (2014) REVIEW

A charming comedy that was an absolute joy to sit through, it had me smiling from beginning to end. Definitely worth a watch. Went in with no expectations and was blown away, loved it.

WOLF MAN (2025) REVIEW

The movie itself was ok but it loses half a point due to the characters making a few dumb decisions that had me saying why would they do that? Also what happened to the old fashioned werewolf? In this film the wolf man / men don't look like werewolves, they look like they have leprosy and I hate it.

LOST IN SPACE (1998) REVIEW

Between the PS1 style CGI and Matt LeBlanc trying to be a knock off dollar store Han Solo who is so hard to take seriously. This film becomes an absolute chore to sit through.

THE TRIAL OF THE INCREDIBLE HULK (1989) REVIEW

A product of its time. When this first came out the superhero genre had a long way to go and was nowhere near being taken seriously.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (1990) REVIEW

This film has aged like milk and I think that is why I enjoyed it so much.

BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA (1986) REVIEW

I love this film, the more it runs along the more bonkers it gets. For me this movie just captures the 80's perfectly.

THE TRIPPER (2006) REVIEW

With David Arquette in the director's chair, this film turns out to be a fun little slice of slasher cheese.

Didn't know how this instalment was going to play out seeing how it's a Christmas movie, but I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was.

MOVIE 43 (2013) REVIEW

Turned this waste of time off during the part where Anna Faris wanted Chris Pratt to poop on her. This film is a steaming hot pile of trash and also a complete train wreck. Why does this exist?

SPEED RACER (2008) REVIEW

This has got to be the most ugly film I have ever seen, Visually horrible to look at and the story was just as bad with new characters popping up what seems like every five minutes or so with no warning. I found myself repeating the same four words over and over again and they are "WHAT... IS... GOING... ON". This film also dragged on and was about 45 minutes to long, it just didn't know when to end. overall I can't stress enough how bad it is and definitely can't recommend it. Another blemish on the Wachowskis filmography.

PAN'S LABYRINTH (2006) REVIEW

I know that most people consider this film a classic BUT I've seen it twice now and I just couldn't get into it on either occasion. I'm not saying that this film is terrible by any means quite the opposite actually it's a very well made film that is uniquely Del Toro but I will say it wasn't my cup of tea and won't be a film for everyone.

TERRIFIER 3 (2024) REVIEW

A blood soaked spectacle, just when you think the terrifier franchise couldn't push the boundaries any further it does just that. Three films in and this outing is proof that Art the clown is a slasher icon for the new age. This film made me want to have a shower afterwards.

BASQUIAT (1996) REVIEW

HOW HIGH (2001) REVIEW

This is exactly what I expected from a stoner comedy starring Redman and method man. They have great chemistry and the film got a few chuckles out of me. Definitely not the best film but not the worst either.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE (2009) REVIEW

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this film is a lot better than the original. It's a fun cheese fest with some awesome kills and I just can't help but love it. It was definitely made to be seen in 3D which hasn't aged well at all in parts of the film but overall doesn't hurt the much too much. I'd say go check this one out.

THE DEAD DON'T DIE (2019) REVIEW

I watched this film once a few years ago and I remember thinking that I just didn't get it, fast forward to now and upon a second viewing it all just clicked in my head. Adam Driver &, Bill Murray have great chemistry, the rest of the cast is awesome too. This is essentially dry humor the movie and I'm all for it.

MADISON COUNTY (2011) REVIEW

Now this isn't bottom of the barrel horrible but if I was to recommend a half way descent or even ok slasher film then Madison County wouldn't catch a glimpse of the conversation. This film feels like it's straight out of the 80's which would be a good thing if it was made in that decade instead it came out in 2011 which is 20+ years later. The film is full of cliches we've seen a million times and they aren't even done in a fun way. Nothing happens in this film until over half way through and when it does it just feels underwhelming. A big selling point of the film was they had the same SFX team who worked on LAID TO REST but clearly they could only do what they could with the budget they were given. Just disappointing, give it a miss unless you're a massive slasher fan and even then this film is not essential viewing.

Equal parts heart warming and heart breaking, this film is an eye opening account of what just a few refugees have been through.

ANOMALISA (2015) REVIEW

An interesting stop motion film in theory, upon watching it though I don't think the ideas in the movie work. Now a big issue I have with this film is the main character is a complete jerk, which would be fine if there was some character development as we progressed but there isn't and that makes it hard to like him at all. This film was ok but is definitely not for everyone, Maybe I had high expectations due to everyone raving about this film BUT I honestly don't see the hype. Just because Charlie Kaufman played a huge part in making this film doesn't mean we should blow smoke up his backside. Forgive me for calling a spade a spade but this movie is not all that great. In closing I'm going to say this WITNESSING STOP MOTION CUNNINGLINGUS WAS NOT ON MY 2025 BINGO CARD! YET HERE WE ARE.

HOME ON THE RANGE (2004) REVIEW

I remember as a young kid watching this film and I couldn't for the life of me remember anything about it. I've watched it again as a adult and oh boy this was very run of the mill. I just couldn't get into this one, It doesn't outstay its welcome BUT it isn't very entertaining.

RESURRECTION (1999) REVIEW

A Se7en knock off that is watchable and somewhat enjoyable. This thing was made in 1998 - 99 but looks like it was filmed in 1992. This film also drags on in the final 20 or so minutes. Although the gore was awesome to look at, I can't help but know that this is the type of detective film you watch once then forget about.

POSTAL (2007) REVIEW

This is the kind of stuff I expected out of a Postal adaptation. Filled with very crude and potty humour, it did get some laughs out of me. One of Uwe Bolls more entertaining outings.

FEET OF DEATH (2024) REVIEW

This film is a low budget B movie that takes itself way too seriously. The dialogue was very monotone up until the final 20 minutes where the actors finally showed some emotion, it honestly sounds like these guys are just reading from the script instead of actually acting. The back end of this movie completely lost me as they tried to include a bunch of "twists" and "turns" that didn't really work, also for a film about bigfoot we didn't really get to see the beast itself and when we did it was very underwhelming, as a whole this film was trying to be dark and gritty but ended up still being one note.
